This Privacy Policy describes what information More Than Gates ("MTG", "we", "us") collects through the customer portal, scheduling, estimating, and billing services (the "Services"), and how we use it.
We use your information to schedule and perform service, communicate about your jobs (arrival windows, parts approvals, invoices), bill and collect payment, honor warranty coverage, and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information.
We send transactional texts (scheduling, parts-approval requests, invoice notices, sign-in links) as part of providing the Services to an account tied to an active or recent job — these don't require a separate marketing opt-in. We only send promotional or marketing texts to numbers that have opted in through the portal sign-in screen or at booking; you can withdraw that opt-in at any time by replying STOP or through your portal account. Message and data rates may apply.
Calls to our office lines may be recorded for quality and training
purposes; where recording occurs, our greeting discloses it before the
call is recorded, consistent with the notice requirements of the states
we operate in. See docs/reference/legal-notes.md in our
engineering documentation for the exact disclosure script used on our
phone system.
We share information with the vendors that help us run the Services: our telephony/SMS provider (to send texts and calls), our accounting platform (to invoice and collect payment), and our cloud hosting provider (to store data). We share it with these vendors only as needed to provide the Services, not for their own marketing. We may disclose information if required by law.
We retain job history, warranty records, and billing records for as long as needed to honor warranty coverage, maintain accurate books, and meet legal/tax retention requirements. You may ask us to delete contact-level information not tied to an active warranty or unresolved invoice by contacting our office.
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed credentials, access-scoped accounts) to protect the information in the Services. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
We may update this Policy as the Services change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
